About Coastal Keepsakes

Coastal Keepsakes is a small family-run laser cutting, engraving and UV printing studio based in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. We create personalised gifts, custom keepsakes, signage, plaques, name badges, awards and made-to-order pieces for families, events and small businesses across Australia.

Founded by husband-and-wife duo Damian and Ursula Smith, Coastal Keepsakes began as a small creative idea and has grown into a busy local workshop making custom pieces that are personal, practical and meaningful.

We are proud Sunshine Coast locals. Damian’s family has lived in Buderim for five generations, with Townsend Road named after his great-grandfather. That connection to place, family and community is a big part of why we care so much about the details in every order.

What We Make

Every Coastal Keepsakes piece is made or customised to order. Some products are created from raw materials in our workshop, while BYO engraving items are supplied by the customer and customised by us.

How We Make It

Our Buderim workshop uses laser cutting, laser engraving, UV printing, CNC machining and hands-on finishing to create pieces from materials such as timber, acrylic, metal, slate, glass, coated drinkware and selected customer-supplied items.

Some orders are simple and fast. Others need design checks, artwork preparation, proofing or material testing. Either way, we care about making pieces that feel considered, not mass-produced.

Local Pickup & Australia-Wide Shipping

Local pickup from Buderim is available by arrangement, and most products can be shipped Australia-wide. Many orders can be completed within 1–3 business days, depending on the product, design complexity, workload and material availability.
