Have something special you’d like engraved? Our BYO engraving service is designed for customers who already have an item and want to add a personal message, name, date, initials, logo or keepsake detail.

Because every item is different, the first step is checking whether your piece is suitable for engraving. Flat or gently curved surfaces usually work best, especially on metal bracelets, charms, pendants, stainless steel bottles, coated drinkware, plaques, tags and similar keepsake items.

For the best results, we look at the material, coating, engraving area, shape and how securely the item can sit in the laser. Some items engrave beautifully, while others may not be suitable due to uneven surfaces, delicate coatings, reflective areas, hidden plating or awkward shapes.

Yes, you can bring in your own suitable item for engraving. Popular BYO items include ID bracelets, charms, pendants, drink bottles, metal keepsakes, tags, plaques and selected gift items. Each item is checked first to make sure the surface, material and shape are suitable.

What BYO items engrave best?

The best BYO engraving results usually come from items with a flat or gently curved engraving area. Stainless steel, coated bottles, aluminium, brass, timber, acrylic and many jewellery-style keepsakes can engrave well, depending on the finish and shape of the item.

Can you engrave Pandora-style charms or pendants?

Yes, we can often engrave Pandora-style charms, pendants and similar jewellery pieces, provided there is enough flat space and the item can be positioned safely for engraving. Send us a photo of the front and back of the piece and we can confirm what is possible.

How do I know if my item is suitable?

The easiest way is to send us a clear photo of the item, including the area you want engraved. We’ll check the material, shape and engraving space before confirming whether it is suitable. Not every BYO item can be engraved, but we’ll always give honest advice before you place an order.
